3-Month Fitness & Nutrition Course
Week 1
Here we go with week 1 of the Get Fit Today 3-month fitness & nutrition plan - good luck
The first thing you need to do is to complete STEPS 1-6 below in turn, starting with the consultation questionnaire if you haven't already completed this. The health check is the next thing to do, as this will give us the information we need to calculate your current calorie requirements and start to plan for week 2.
Then we want you to take a 'before' selfie wearing your sports clothes. Make sure this is done in good lighting and from the front and side. If you feel comfortable in doing so, please send us these photo's (but don't worry, you don't have to if you would rather not).
You can download the Get Fit Today App if you wish, which will give you access to over 300,000 healthy meals and recipes plus hundreds of workouts to choose from. Finally, we need you to try a simple 'benchmark' fitness test at home - something we can check again in a few weeks to see your improvements.
Everything you need to know on this course is included here each week, so make sure that you read the e-Books and watch the videos. Over the next 3-months, we are going to arm you with the knowledge, experience, and habits to not only lose weight but to maintain that weight loss and make healthy choices for the rest of your life.
Week 1
The first week of this course is all about getting you set up and to start forming habits we will use for the next 3-months. We will use Strava throughout the course to record and monitor your activity and My Fitness Pal to record your food and drink intake.
However, in week 1, in addition to the steps below we just need you to start making a note of what you eat, when you eat it and how you feel afterwards.
Why we are going to track what you're eating?
Keeping a food diary, counting your calories and monitoring your portion sizes are all great ways to keep track of what you are eating. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be doing all three but it's vital that you remember to record everything you eat and drink – including snacks. To keep it accurate, you should track what you eat and drink as you drink it throughout the day, so that you don’t forget anything.

Week 1 Tasks
The first thing you need to do when you start this course is to complete our online consultation questionnaire in as much detail as possible.
The information you provide will be used to build your fitness & nutrition plan later in the course.
During the first week of this course, we are going to ask you to start recording details of what you eat, drink, how well you sleep and what exercise you complete. You can do this on your phone or in a book, or if you wish, you can download and use our food diary.
Once you have completed the initial consultation questionnaire, you then need to complete our health check. Make sure that you have a tape measure and some scales as you will need to provide some measurements which we will use to help build you training and meal plans
