Only got 10 minutes to spare? Kids asleep or hubby out walking the dog? How’s your chance to smash those abs and get the perfect beach body ready for the summer...

If you‘re confident knowing the exercises, here is today’s workout. If you’re unsure on any of them, scroll down and look at the explanations and photos to help.

Three rounds of the following exercises, with a 3 minute break between each round.

1. Stomach crunch x 12

2. Oblique crunch x 12

3. Side plank (30 seconds on both sides repeated twice each)

4. Stomach crunch (with legs raised) x 12

Stomach Crunch x 12

Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Place your hands on your thighs, across your chest or behind your ears. Slowly curl up towards your knees until your shoulders are about 3 inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly.

Oblique Crunch x 12

Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Roll your knees to one side down to the floor. Place your hands across your chest or behind your ears.

Slowly curl up towards your hips until your shoulders are about 3 inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly.

Side Plank

Lie on your side propped up on an elbow. Your shoulder should be directly above your elbow. Straighten your legs and raise your hips to create a straight and rigid line from head to toe. Keep your neck long and your shoulders down and away from your ears. Keep your abs contracted during the exercise.

Hold this position for 30 seconds and repeat twice on both sides.

Stomach Crunch (with legs raised) x 12

Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Place your hands across your chest. Slowly pull your knees into your chest, keeping them bent at 90 degrees, until your buttocks and tailbone come off the floor. Hold the position for a moment and lower down slowly.

There you have it - a quick 10 minute Abs blast that will challenge the fittest of you! Take it easy, make sure you warm up before doing any exercises and concentrate on keeping great form throughout.
